Safety

To maintain a rigid safety cage around the passenger compartment, the Mazda CX-9 body is built around the Mazda Advanced Impact-energy Distribution and Absorption System (MAIDAS). Four-wheel ventilated disc brakes feature an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) to prevent wheel lockup in emergency braking, while a Traction Control System (TCS) detects wheel slippage and adjusts torque to restore traction, and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) minimizes under- or oversteer during emergency manoeuvres.
